Ally Sr. Analyst, Fraud Analytics in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania
As a Senior Analyst, Fraud Analytics, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to minimize fraud losses while maintaining a positive customer experience. This position will be responsible for partnering with Loss Prevention and EFSI to develop analytics for forecasting, fraud strategies performance, fraud loss performance, and modeling. The ideal candidate is adept at creatively using large data sets to find opportunities to improve Loss Prevention operations. They should also have experience building models and using a variety of data mining/analysis methods. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering data-driven solutions and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Become a subject matter expert for Bank Fraud systems, metrics, reporting, analytics, and data capture
Create and manage recurring reporting and analysis to adjust strategies and countermeasures
Break down requests for data/analysis into smaller, actionable plans to guarantee the end user will get their real questions answered
Build interactive dashboards using tools such as PowerBi, Tableau, Excel, etc.
Provide validated & reconciled data extracts for audits, and other user requests
Creating forecasting models using multiple databases to interpret results and provide insights from their data mining
Conduct thorough analyses, including coming up with your own hypotheses, testing, revising, and ultimately providing data-driven, evidenced recommendations
Effectively provide key summaries of actionable takeaways while also providing deeper evidence and analysis for end users wanting deeper insight
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Assist with data governance support, including data definitions and subject matter knowledge Qualifications Special skills/abilities/competencies required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Science, or other highly quantitative field of study.
3-5 years previous work experience in data and business analysis required
Proficiency in Oracle SQL, SAS, R, Data Visualization tools (PowerBi, Tableau), Excel
High level of written and oral communication skills.
Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills.
Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and research methods.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work flow.
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment.
Predictive analytics and/or fraud knowledge a plus.
