Ally Assoc Dealer Credit Analyst in Duluth, Georgia

As a part of the Dealer Credit Administration Management team, the Dealer Credit Analyst I oversee the process of completing dealer wholesale inventory audits and/or, leads the team responsible for administration of consumer dealer accounts and ensures strict adherence to company risk management policies and guidelines. Responsibilities may include dealer interface/service; developing and driving a culture of continuous improvement; concentrating on areas of risk and loss prevention. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert to internal and external customers/matrix partners. Incumbent is in the process of developing basic skills. Almost all activities are transaction oriented (and not related to new business). A significant portion of time is spent on basic work (e.g., due diligence, document processing, financial/ statistical analysis).

Job Responsibilities

  • Personnel and self-development: Actively coach and mentor employees. Enhance personal development through training and mentoring.

  • Enhance profitability: Seek and act on opportunities to reduce operating costs. Ensure expenses are properly allocated to appropriate cost center. Continuously review and update process maps.

  • Adhere to company policies/procedures and escalate any matters that are not compliant.

  • Follow departmental processes to ensure established metrics are achieved, dealer and matrix partners' expectations are met and loss exposure is mitigated. Provide stakeholders frequent status updates and solicit feedback. Proactively work to resolve internal conflicts and develop effective working relationships.

  • Manage Audit Administration: Ensure audit instructions and Ally policies are kept current and procedures are followed. Oversee the audit processes to ensure timely process flow, accurate completion and prompt communication of results to monitoring group.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.

  • 3 + years in financial services or similar industry is needed. Prior leadership experience is preferred. Education may be used as a proxy for experience.

  • Perform technical tasks required to support ongoing business operations

  • Skilled technician in a hands-on environment, often highly specialized.

  • Typically requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs

  • Strong analytic/problem solving skills required
